A freelance video journalist and television producer, Samuel has a decade’s experience in the Australian media industry.
Since graduating from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in 2004, he has built a reputation as a creative and reliable producer with a passion for factual programming and journalism. In 2005, he won The Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA) Award for Rising Talent.
Recently, he travelled around Australia and to Indonesia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea on assignment, working on a documentary series about the Australian Federal Police for Andrew Denton’s Zapruder’s other films.
Samuel has reported for The Sydney Morning Herald online and has worked as a researcher, development producer, field producer and video journalist for some of the biggest names in the Australian media; including the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Southern Star, Cordell Jigsaw Productions and Fairfax Media.
Most recently, he has made his mark as a talented shooter/producer capable of capturing powerful images while always staying focused on the story he is telling.
